Project Engineer

The Role:

The main objective for the Project Engineer is to complete projects on time, to the correct specification and to budget. Taking machinery from concept through to warranty.

Good communication skills are essential as the role involves liaising with Sales Dept., Customers and the Engineering Dept and some client visits.

* Coordinate all project elements including engineering design, quality planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and final installation

* Produce deliverables on-time to customer requirements, clarifying these requirements where necessary

* Participate in the Design of new machines and supporting components

Write reports and present progress at project meetings and to clients

Requirements

* Recognised Engineering qualification - Electrical or Mechanical

* Good understanding of engineering principles ideally exposure to high speed FMCG Manufacturing Machinery or similar

* CAD Design Ability

* Electrical understanding and appreciation

* Proven Project Engineering/Project Management experience

* Experience in Bill of Material (BOM) structures

* Understanding of legislation and standards industry specific

* CAD Conversant (Using Auto Cad, additional cad packages will be fine)

* PLC Understanding (would be a benefit)

* Team leading skills

* Use initiative to drive projects

* MS Project conversant

* Liaising with suppliers and third parties to ensure projects are delivered

* Electrically or Mechanically biased with understanding of opposite bias
