Job summary

A leading manufacturer of bespoke timber doorsets in the UK is looking for a CAD Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will create and revise detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, ensuring compliance with technical standards. Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience in joinery or manufacturing and demonstrate a strong understanding of construction materials. This role emphasizes strong communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Draughtsman within joinery or manufacturing.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (or equivalent CAD software).
• Strong understanding of joinery construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements.
• Prepare assembly and fabrication drawings, including BOMs.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant technical standards.
