Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Support Worker or in a similar healthcare role is preferred.
• Valid UK Driver's License.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with learning difficulties and complex healthcare needs.
• Work collaboratively in supportive teams across various locations.

Skills

Experience working with young people with learning difficulties and complex needs

Understanding of therapeutic and positive behaviour support approaches

Ability to support non-verbal communication (e.g., Makaton or PECS)

Strong communication skills

Empathy and a genuine desire to help others

Education

Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

Mandatory Training or Care Certificate
