A support organization in York is looking for a caring individual to provide assistance to a young man with learning disabilities. Responsibilities include personal care, communication support, and light household tasks. Full training is offered, making prior experience unnecessary. The role requires flexibility in hours, especially during college holidays, with a pay rate starting at £12.21 per hour.

It is not essential that you have experience in care and support as full training will be given. Own transport is desirable to get to work on the outskirts of York (public transport options are available).
The training provided will include: PEG feeding Epilepsy
9 hours per week. The support is needed in the afternoons during term time, likely in 3 hour blocks – days and times to be agreed. During college holidays, support needs to be more flexible – days and times to be agreed. Additional hours may be available.
A minimum of £12.21 per hour. The rate of pay is open to negotiation for the right candidate.
Successful applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. This post is subject to DBS checks, the cost of which will be met by the employer.
