Job description

The school are looking for an experienced Year 6 teacher to see the class through until the summer and continue on until December 2023. They require a teacher with experience of guiding students through their SATs and supporting the school by making a significant difference to the results. The successful candidate must have a passion for teaching, be committed to investing the time to help raise attainment, work well as a team but have the ability to take lead when necessary. The school are keen for a teacher with high expectations from both the students work and their own.

You must have experience planning lessons for different learning needs and levels, have a good understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and have strategies in place to push the students learning to the next level. Confidence supporting students with SEN in essential.

Qualifications

• A Qualified Teacher Status (either a PGCE, B.Ed, BA or Cert Ed.)
• A minimum of one year experience in Year 6
• Dedication and passion about primary education
• A creative and dynamic approach to teaching and learning
• An honest, understanding and compassionate attitude towards children
• Excellent teaching references
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Eligible to work in the UK
• A DBS check or happy to complete one
