Classroom Recruiters are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and highly motivated Year 6 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive partner primary school in Derby. This is a full‑time maternity cover position beginning in February.

Position: Year 6 Teacher

Location: Derby

Start Date: Feb 2026

Pay: £180-£220 per day

This is a class with mixed ability they have had a great start to the academic year, the Head Teacher is looking ideally for an experienced year 6 teacher with a history of great results, however other applicants with primary teaching experience will be considered for the role.

Qualifications Required
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), PGCE, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Interview Process
  • Stage 1 : Virtual interview with one of our consultants to discuss the role.
  • Stage 2 : Meet with the school leadership team and have a tour of the school.
  • Stage 3 : Take part in a 30 minute lesson and then complete an in tray activity.
  • Final Stage : Formal interview with the Head Teacher.
