Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Primary School based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a Year 4 Teacher to start in January up until the end of the academic year for maternity cover.

The ideal candidate will be a confident individual who is able to adapt teaching styles quickly while remaining organised.

About the role
  • Start-date: 5th January
  • Long-term role
  • Paid to scale

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons which follow the curriculum whilst incorporating the schools values. You will work closely with support staff to ensure all learning needs are met and lessons/resources are adapted when necessary. Additionally, you will contribute to the wider school community, arranging your class assemblies, parent’s evenings and extra-curricular activities.

  • Excellent knowledge of the primary curriculum
  • Good knowledge of current teaching/behaviour management techniques
  • Adaptable and organised
  • A patient, calm and empathetic approach to behaviour management
