We are working with a fantastic primary school in Ealing, seeking a caring and committed Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with high-complex needs.

This is a long-term role providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with high-complex needs, behavioural challenges, and additional learning requirements. If you have patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for helping young children thrive, this could be an excellent opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Provide full-time, 1:1 support for a child with complex behavioural, emotional, and learning needs
  • Help the child develop emotional regulation strategies and positive learning behaviours
  • Support the class teacher and SENCO in delivering tailored interventions and personalised classroom strategies
  • Create a calm, structured, and nurturing environment to ensure the child feels safe, included, and engaged
  • Celebrate small steps of progress, encouraging confidence, independence, and self-esteem
Person Specification
  • Experience supporting children with high-complex needs, SEND, or behavioural challenges, ideally in EYFS/KS1
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach, able to de-escalate challenging situations effectively
  • Strong communication skills to work closely with teachers, parents, and support staff
  • Above all, a compassionate and committed individual who wants to make a meaningful difference in a child's life
