Overview

Location: Exeter
Pay: £16.00 per hour + quarterly profit-related bonus
Hours: 39 hours per week (Mon–Thu 8:00am–4:30pm, Fri 8:00am–3:30pm, 30 mins lunch each day)
We are recruiting for an experienced Yard Foreman to join a well-established construction solutions provider.

The Role

As Yard Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing all yard operations, ensuring equipment and materials are organised, maintained, and distributed efficiently. You will lead a small team, ensuring high standards of safety and productivity at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervising daily yard activities, including loading, unloading, storage, and distribution of equipment
  • Coordinating and motivating yard staff to achieve targets and maintain safety standards
  • Monitoring stock levels and maintaining accurate records
  • Overseeing equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Supporting staff training and development
About You
  • Previous experience in a yard foreman or supervisory role within construction, building, or a related industry
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Good knowledge of health and safety requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Plant operator ticket (desirable)
  • Forklift experience (desirable)
