Y3/4 Primary Teacher (Maternity Cover) Fantastic Primary School, Whitwick

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 3/4 Teacher to join our fantastic primary school in Whitwick on a maternity cover basis, starting January. If the Class Teacher decides to come This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who thrives on challenge and wants to make a real difference in the lives of children with high SEND and complex behavioural needs.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about engaging learners, developing their potential, and working closely with staff, families and support teams to meet each child s individual needs.

The role:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons for a Y3/4 class with complex needs.
  • Support and manage children with high SEND and behavioural challenges, promoting positive behaviour and well‑being.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs and the wider school team to ensure each child makes progress.
  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches to suit individual needs.
  • Foster a safe, engaging, and motivating classroom environment.
