Position

Role: Fiction Writing Expert

Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $100–$150/hour (based on experience)

Location: Remote

Duration: 6–8 weeks (with possible extension)

Commitment: 10–20 hrs/week (flexible, part-time)

Role Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate AI-generated fiction writing outputs for creativity, narrative flow, and literary quality
  • Provide expert feedback on storytelling elements such as character development, plot progression, and narrative voice
  • Develop and refine evaluation rubrics to assess style, genre alignment, and narrative structure
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI research teams to improve the system’s storytelling capabilities
  • Audit AI-generated short stories, dialogues, and narrative drafts for literary consistency, originality, and stylistic accuracy
Requirements / Ideal Qualifications
  • Strong professional fiction writing experience (novelist, short story author, or literary professional)
  • A portfolio of published work (books, short stories, anthologies, or literary journals)
  • Strong command of narrative voice, plot development, and stylistic techniques
  • Proven ability to critique, refine, and classify creative writing based on literary criteria
  • Excellent written communication skills and a keen eye for detail, tone, and genre conventions
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
  • Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks not supported)
