Job description

Lightwater Village School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Wrap Around Play Leader to join their team on a permanent part-time basis working Monday to Friday 2.30pm 6pm.

Your opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the wrap around provision at Lightwater Village School creating a safe stimulating and nurturing environment for our children. As Play Leader you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running and long-term development of the provision planning engaging activities promoting positive behaviour and ensuring high standards of care. This is a fantastic role for someone who is passionate about making a difference in childrens lives within a supportive and collaborative school environment.

What we are looking for
  • Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
  • Level 3 childcare qualification (desirable)
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and encourage engaging inclusive play
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Friendly approachable and resilient with a supportive team spirit
  • Committed to maintaining a safe inclusive and nurturing environment

The Details

Start Date : January 2026

Salary : 25001 FTE

Pay Scale : Associate 3.1

Actual Salary : 10187.29

Hours : 17.5 hours - Monday to Friday 2.30pm 6pm (38 weeks)

Closing Date : Friday 12th December at 9.30am
