About the role

We are looking for a friendly and motivated person to join the Automotive, Construction & Engineering team as a Workshop Technician. You’ll be part of a supportive team and help keep our workshops running smoothly. This job is varied and fast-paced, and you’ll work closely with tutors and the Head of Faculty to make sure everything is ready for lessons and supports us to grow.

Other duties will include:
  • Keep tools, equipment, and resources organised and in good condition.
  • Coordination of Health and Safety aspects of the workshops, for example Risk Assessments, Safe Working Practices and COSHH.
  • Maintaining accurate records to meet legislative requirements and internal expectations.
  • Ordering of materials, tools and equipment (following a period of internal procurement training).
About the person

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who can communicate well and enjoys helping others, is organised and can manage their time well as well as be flexible and adapt when things change.

The successful candidate will need to have:
  • Level 2 / GCSE Maths & English
  • Is confident using Microsoft Word and Excel.
