What's the role about?
As our Workplace IT Security Analyst, you will support the day-to-day security operations across the corporate and retail technology environments at Reiss. Acting as the initial point of contact for security alerts and events, you will work closely with trusted third-party providers and internal IT teams to detect, investigate, and respond to potential security incidents.
This role provides hands‑on exposure to real‑world security operations, including incident response, vulnerability management, and security governance, offering an excellent foundation for a career in cybersecurity within a business‑focused IT team.

- Demonstrates a strong commitment to cybersecurity, with a practical understanding of how security supports business operations.
- Solid grasp of core security concepts, including malware, phishing, vulnerabilities, and access control, with the ability to apply them in real‑world scenarios.
- Knowledgeable in networking, operating systems, and cloud services, able to contextualise alerts and events across multiple platforms.
- Methodical and analytical, capable of investigating alerts, logs, and security events thoroughly while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Composed and structured under pressure, responding to security events and incidents with confidence and professionalism.
- Communicates effectively, producing clear documentation and engaging confidently with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Collaborative and proactive, able to coordinate with IT teams and third‑party security providers to resolve incidents efficiently.
- Inquisitive and adaptable, following established processes while exercising sound judgment on when to elevate or take initiative.
What you’ll be doing
- Monitor systems, networks, endpoints, and logs for unusual or unauthorised activity, using SIEM, endpoint protection, and other security monitoring tools to maintain continuous visibility of the security environment.
- Act as the initial point of contact for security alerts, triaging, investigating, and assessing vulnerabilities and indicators of compromise, distinguishing between false positives and genuine threats.
- Respond to cybersecurity incidents, performing initial containment and remediation steps where appropriate, and escalating complex incidents to senior IT staff or third‑party security providers as required.
- Support vulnerability management activities, including tracking newly disclosed vulnerabilities (e.g., CVEs), coordinating remediation with system owners, and maintaining visibility of outstanding risks.
- Assist with security governance and compliance, supporting access control reviews, endpoint protection checks, and contribution to policies, standards, and frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST.
- Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery activities, including testing incident response plans, defining recovery objectives for critical systems, and ensuring alignment with operational priorities.
- Help deliver security awareness initiatives, providing guidance on safe system usage, phishing prevention, and risk mitigation to staff across the organisation.
- Contribute to security and risk assessments for new tools, platforms, or third‑party suppliers, supporting the implementation of secure configurations and mitigation of potential risks.
