Working Foreperson / Foreman

Location: Plymouth, covering Devon, Cornwall & South West England

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for a Working Foreperson / Foreman to join a growing and dynamic team delivering high-quality projects across the South West. This role involves supervising site operations and ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.

About the Role

Reporting to the Contract Manager and Business Manager, you will play a key role in delivering Decarbonisation projects, cyclical works, and FRA (Fire Risk Assessment) works. You'll lead by example, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality across all sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide detailed and accurate reports to support costing and ordering of works.
  • Manage on-site activities, including setting up and monitoring subcontractors and directly employed staff.
  • Oversee daily site productivity and communicate progress to the Contracts Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards, including welfare checks, PPE, and equipment inspections.
What We're Looking For
Essential
  • NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Work Supervision (or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering Decarbonisation projects.
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • SSSTS qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • Scaffold Inspection certification.
  • PASMA certification.
