Role: Head of Workday Reporting (Finance)
Role Type: Permanent
Location: Remote (occasional travel to office)
Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 per annum + bonus

Our established client is seeking an experienced Head of Workday Reporting to lead and shape their financial reporting capability within their newly implemented Workday Finance platform. This is an exciting time to join a business which has recently gone through a transformation project, and will involve responsibility for reporting strategy, data governance, and leveraging insights to drive business decisions.

The Role

As Head of Workday Reporting, you will own the end-to-end reporting landscape across Workday Financials. You will act as the subject matter expert, partnering closely with Finance, IT, and senior stakeholders to ensure reporting solutions are accurate, scalable, and aligned to business needs. A key focus will be defining data logic, standardising data definitions, establishing governance around reporting, and driving the organisation away from spreadsheet-based reporting toward a robust, automated reporting framework.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and owning the reporting strategy for Workday Financials, including standard, custom, and advanced reporting
  • Leading the design, development, and governance of financial reports, dashboards, data models, data definitions, and data logic
  • Establishing strong governance frameworks to ensure consistent, accurate, and auditable reporting across the organisation
  • Acting as the key escalation point for complex reporting requirements and issues
  • Partnering with Finance leadership to translate business requirements into scalable, insightful reporting solutions
  • Driving data integrity, security, and compliance across all reporting outputs
  • Championing automation, standardisation, and the adoption of best practices in Workday reporting, moving the business away from dependency on spreadsheets
  • Supporting Workday upgrades, enhancements, and integrations from a reporting perspective
Essential experience:
  • Extensive hands‑on experience with Workday Finance reporting
  • Strong knowledge of Workday reporting tools
  • Solid understanding of core finance processes (GL, AP, AR etc.)
  • Excellent data skills
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
