A diverse educational institution in the United Kingdom is seeking a Work-based Tutor to oversee apprenticeship programs. The role involves monitoring apprentices, ensuring compliance with funding rules, and providing necessary study support. Although regular attendance in Portsmouth is required, the position primarily allows for remote work to enhance student engagement and progression. Candidates will also contribute to the development of learning materials and ensure a quality apprenticeship experience.
The role of the Work-based Tutor is to focus on the apprentice, their development and progress across all aspects of their apprenticeship (on and off the job training), and on liaison with employers to ensure that apprentices are well supported to ensure both the business and the apprentice benefits.
The Work-Based Tutor (Apprenticeships) is responsible for the monitoring of apprentices on a range of apprenticeships that the University offers in partnership with a diverse range of employers. This will encompass supporting apprentice achievement, progression and retention through regular progress review meetings, ensuring that engagement with learning is compliant with Education & Skills Funding Agency funding rules, gyermek the expectations set out in the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework. Support for apprentices will include study support and preparation for the End Point Assessment (EPA) Gateway review and EPA itself.
Tutors will also contribute to the identification, production, evaluation and enhancement of learning support materials in a variety of media. They will work collaboratively with course teams as well as directly with employers to continuously improve the quality of the apprentice experience, and its value to apprentices and employers.
Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth once a month, this role will be majority remote working.
