The Wellbeing and Activities Assistant role at Avery Healthcare is focused on supporting the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate residents' physical, cognitive, and social well-being. The role involves maintaining a safe living and working environment, reporting changes in residents' condition, and contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.

Main duties

As Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, you will support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering activities that engage residents' physical, cognitive, and social well-being. Other responsibilities include maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home, reporting changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition, assisting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities, and establishing links with the local community to promote access to the wider community and intergenerational activity.

About the role

As Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your focus will be to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing activities to engage and stimulate residents across physical, cognitive, and social dimensions. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
  • Reporting changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff.
  • Supporting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
  • Establishing links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.
