Welding Tutor (Part-Time, Permanent)

The Role

KBM Resourcing are recruiting a Welding Tutor to work with our client based in Stonehaven. This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served Welder who is ready to pass on their knowledge and mentor the next generation of welders. Whether you are looking to come off the tools, or are already off the tools and seeking part-time work, this permanent role offers the chance to work closely with apprentices throughout their full learning journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training apprentices in a range of welding processes, including MMA, TIG, FCAW, MIG, Sub Arc
  • Welding a variety of materials, including Carbon steel, Stainless steel, Aluminium, Duplex, Cunifer, Tack welding of fit-ups, and welding across various material grades and positions
  • Promoting and maintaining safe lifting and handling practices
  • Providing coaching, mentoring, and ongoing feedback to apprentices
  • Liaising with managers to ensure the in-house training programme meets required skill levels
  • Providing regular apprentice performance feedback to line managers
