Overview

Colchester, Essex - Welder fabricator - Up to £16.00/hr DOE

A leading specialist in bespoke acoustic & thermal equipment for back-up power and power generation sectors are looking for a welder fabricator. Join a growing team working from a large facility with both an indoor workshop and an external yard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mig welding to high standard
  • Operating press brakes / brake press machinery
  • Using guillotines for metal cutting
  • Proficient with hand tools and power tools
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings to produce accurate fabrications
  • Working as part of a team to manufacture acoustic/thermal enclosures and related metalwork
Requirements & skills
  • Experience in MIG welding and fabrication
  • Ability to operate press brakes, guillotines, and similar metal forming machinery
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings and the ability to follow them
  • Use of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail, quality and finishing
  • Reliability, punctuality and willingness to work as part of a workshop team
