Overview

CRP Group are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder to join a manufacturing team, specialising in the fabrication and assembly of vehicles and trailers. The successful candidate will work from technical drawings to complete high-quality welds using MIG welding techniques, as well as cutting and preparing materials using oxygen/acetylene cutting equipment. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who takes pride in producing strong, accurate, and visually clean welds for structurally critical components.

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and assemble metal components for vehicles and trailers using MIG welding and cutting processes.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate builds.
  • Perform cutting, shaping, and preparation of steel using oxygen/acetylene equipment and appropriate tools.
  • Inspect materials and completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with technical standards.
  • Operate hand tools, grinders, and measuring equipment to ensure quality finishes and correct tolerances.
  • Fit, tack, and weld components including chassis, body frames, brackets, and other structural parts.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with the production team to meet daily and weekly build targets.
  • Report any defects, safety hazards, or production issues to the supervisor promptly.
