A leading UK care provider is seeking a Weekend Laundry Assistant in Matlock. You will manage laundry services while ensuring high standards of hygiene and care. Attention to detail is crucial, and experience is a plus but not required as training is provided. Darcy House is a brand-new, luxury care home located in the beautiful town of Matlock, Derbyshire. We provide personalised Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Palliative and Respite care for up to 78 residents in a welcoming, homely environment.
We are now seeking a meticulous and reliable Laundry Assistant to join our team. In this important role, you will ensure residents’ personal clothing and linen are handled with the utmost care, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation that make a real difference to daily life.
What We Offer
As a Laundry Assistant, you will take responsibility for managing all laundry services within the home, treating residents’ clothing and bedding with care and respect. You will ensure all laundry is washed, dried, ironed, and returned promptly, following strict hygiene and infection control procedures. You will label personal items, carry out minor repairs where needed, and keep the laundry area clean, tidy, and safe at all times. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help create a fresh, welcoming environment that supports residents’ comfort and dignity.
We are seeking someone with excellent attention to detail, good organisational skills, and a caring approach to their work. Experience in a similar role is an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided. You should be a team player who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining high standards for the benefit of our residents.
