Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Complete scheduled cleaning tasks and ensure cleanliness of all areas.
  • Conduct periodic deep cleaning of designated areas.
  • Replenish stock and consumables and report any hazards.

Job Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Site-Based Cleaning Operative to join our team at Queens Road Approved Premises - 41 Queens Road, Hull, HU5 2QP. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site. Your efforts will directly contribute to the health, hygiene, and comfort of the residents and staff at each site.

Approved Premises play a key role in supporting individuals released from prison, offering enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within the community. This role will give you insight into working in a residential setting with vulnerable and complex individuals, providing meaningful work that supports positive change.

What you’ll do
  • Focus on the details and complete a list of scheduled cleaning tasks
  • Periodic deep cleaning of certain areas, as instructed by supervisor
  • Ensure all areas, including kitchens, toilets, and communal areas are cleaned and presentable
  • Replenish stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps
  • Work closely with the security team, reporting any faults or hazards, while also helping maintain the cleanliness of their areas too!
  • This role requires you to have an approachable attitude
What you bring
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses is desirable, but not essential - our great training will ensure you are fully trained in all areas of health and safety!
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed
  • Be a team player and take instruction
