Qualifications

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Some experience with engineering design, installation, or technical calculations.
  • Knowledge of CAD-AutoCAD, 3D tools like Revit, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong technical, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Schindler's Modernisation & Design Centre (MDC) is searching for a passionate and driven Application Engineer Trainee to join our dynamic team in Addlestone. What You’ll be doing:
  • Deliver creative and cost‑effective engineering solutions for custom and pre‑engineered lift systems
  • Support internal and external customers with a customer‑first mindset
  • Master the art of product configuration‑design layouts, develop new lift components, and generate accurate bills of materials
  • Use your technical know‑how to ensure first‑pass yield and on‑time project delivery
  • Travel to client sites for surveys and meetings, taking ownership from design all the way to site documentation and manuals
  • Champion safety and compliance, always setting the gold standard for Health & Safety in engineering practices
Qualifications:
  • A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Some experience with engineering design, installation, or technical calculations
  • Knowledge of CAD‑AutoCAD, 3D tools like Revit, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong technical, interpersonal, and communication skills
