Overview
As a Waterlink Scheduler, you'll coordinate with customers and field teams to ensure the timely completion of work. This includes scheduling appointments, managing workloads for field staff and contractors, and preparing daily work packs. You will organize and close out street-work notices to meet deadlines and avoid financial penalties, liaise with internal departments and plumbers to address customer needs and resolve complaints, and monitor operational workloads using various systems. You will also report on performance metrics related to highways, commercial conversion, and new connections.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate works with customers, ensuring they are kept up to date with any changes or variations.
- Assign field staff work based on operational and commercial requirements, work priorities, and team workloads.
- Prepare daily work information packs for contractors, gangs, and plumbers.
- Maintain up-to-date scheduling tools with team briefs, training, annual leave, and accurate schedules of customer appointments and resource management.
- Organise reinstatement to meet deadlines set by customers and street-works notices.
- Arrange and close street-work notices in line with highway requirements to prevent financial penalties.
- Liaise with field teams and plumbers to ensure customers’ needs are met.
- Ensure required plant and street-works notices are in place.
- Report on operational and commercial requirements including highways performance (FPN, defects, Sec 74), commercial conversion, CSL, and new connection performance and KPIs.
- Liaise with South East Water departments to provide operational information, work progress, and details to help resolve customer complaints.
- Utilise Maximo start centres and reports to monitor and manage workloads, updating and correcting work orders as required.
- Use information and resources to keep skills and knowledge up to date and continuously developed.
- Work as part of the Waterlink team to meet targets and objectives by supporting other areas of the department when required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Achieved GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C (or equivalent).
- Strong organisational and communication skills; ability to work as part of a team under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Operational background with knowledge of Maximo, Business Objects, Hi affinity GIS/Geofield; NVQ Level 2 or above in Customer Service/Business Administration and/or a recognized management qualification (e.g., ILM).
- Previous scheduling experience.
- Legal right to work in the UK; background, identity, and employment checks may be required.

Compensation package: £26,392.50 - £28,427.50 p.a. (dependent on experience)
