Job description

Our client is an established and successful water treatment company, who offers the full range of water treatment and legionella services to a portfolio of clients across the UK. They are currently looking for an experienced Water Treatment Service Chemist based in the Manchester area. The successful candidate will hold extensive experience undertaking the analysis of steam boilers, cooling towers, closed systems. Applications from Oldham, Bolton, Bury, Warrington and surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & experience

• Previous experience working as a water treatment service chemist role.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good working knowledge of water treatment/hygiene industry essential.
• Competent with Microsoft office package.

Role

• Chemical Analysis on Cooling towers, Steam boilers and closed heated and chilled systems.
• Maintenance on Domestic and Industrial water systems.
• Routine monitoring tasks at multiple sector properties.
• Dosing of systems, closed system flushing, water softener servicing and disinfection of systems.
• Providing the full range of Service Chemist duties on an array of systems across a variety of sectors.
• Flushing of Calorifiers.
• Updating of Site Log Books.
• Chemical tank cleans, temperature monitoring, cooling towers and chlorination – steam boilers.
• Maintain a professional relationship with clients.
