Our client is an established national water company, which provides a wide range of water treatment and legionella services to long‑standing contracts throughout the UK. Due to recent contract wins, they are currently looking to recruit a hard‑working and knowledgeable Water Treatment Service Chemist based in the Leeds area. The successful candidate will have extensive experience carrying out in‑depth chemical analysis of cooling tower, closed system and steam boiler water. Applications from Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield and surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience working within a water treatment service chemist role
  • Extensive experience carrying out the analysis of steam boilers, closed systems and cooling tower water
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good working knowledge of water treatment/hygiene industry essential
  • Competent with Microsoft Office package
Responsibilities
  • Chemical analysis on cooling towers, steam boilers and closed heated and chilled systems
  • Maintenance on domestic and industrial water systems
  • Routine monitoring tasks at multiple sector properties
  • Dosing of systems, closed system flushing, water softener servicing and disinfection of systems
  • Providing the full range of service chemist duties across a variety of sectors
  • Flushing of calorifiers
  • Updating of site log books
  • Maintain a professional relationship with clients
