Job Description

Our client is an established and professional water company that offers a wide range of water treatment and legionella services across the UK. They are recruiting a hard‑working and commercially focused Water Treatment Sales Manager based in and around the Midlands. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of upselling technical water services to new and existing clients and must have previous experience managing steam boilers, closed systems and cooling towers accounts. Applications from Birmingham, Leicester, Worcester, Northampton, Coventry and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong educational, management, accounts, sales and business development background
  • Good working knowledge of the water treatment industry
  • Proven track record in improving sales targets (5‑20% growth)
  • Experience managing a varied portfolio of cooling tower, steam boiler and closed system accounts
  • Previous experience in a water treatment sales role (essential)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competency with the Microsoft Office package
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of water treatment accounts (Cooling Towers, Steam Boilers, Closed Systems)
  • Incorporate analysis of water treatment processes and ensure programmes are compliant with current guidelines and fit for purpose
  • Secure, manage and develop key accounts from the existing customer base, cross‑selling services while maintaining existing services
  • Manage staff and build and maintain good working relationships with clients
  • Attend to Key Performance Indicators
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Achieve sales targets and goals
  • Deal with issues appropriately and effectively
  • Attend meetings as required
