Job description
  • Discipline: Water Treatment Engineers/Plumbers

Our client is a well-regarded water management company known for providing professional water treatment/hygiene and legionella services to clients nationwide. They are currently recruiting for a committed and multi-disciplined Water Treatment Engineer/Plumber based in and around the Blackpool area. The successful candidate will be a qualified remedial plumber and will also be experienced in carrying out routine water treatment duties to a mixed portfolio of clients. Applications will be considered from Lytham St Annes, Fleetwood, Kirkham and the surrounding areas.

Experience:
  • Extensive experience working as a Water Treatment Engineer within the water treatment industry.
  • Hands‑on experience carrying out remedial plumbing to a mixed portfolio of sites.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing would be advantageous.
  • Fully conversant with Health & Safety procedures/legislation and the water treatment industry.
  • Ideally comes from a good chemical, technical and educational background.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Duties Will Entail:
  • Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems, boilers, cooling towers, shower heads and flushing.
  • Descaling, disinfection and tank cleans and dosing.
  • Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems and interpreting the results.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment as and when required.
  • Completing worksheets for work carried out appropriately.
  • Building and maintaining a good rapport with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.
  • Collating and providing accurate reports.
  • Visiting sites as per client’s requirements.

The successful post‑holder will be versatile, flexible, have a good work ethic and at the same time have the ability to carry out the work effectively and within timeline and must be flexible with regards to travelling.
