A water treatment company is seeking a Water Treatment Engineer / Legionella Risk Assessor to cover sites in the Midlands. The candidate will perform Legionella risk assessments, cooling tower cleans, and other water treatment operations. Job Title: Water Treatment Engineer / Legionella Risk Assessor.
Location: Solihull, West Midlands
Salary / Benefits £22k – £34k + Training + Benefits

A privately owned Water Treatment company who specialise in providing Risk Assessment, Water management and Chemical services to Healthcare, Commercial, and Industrial clients. They are now looking for an all-rounder Water Treatment Engineer / Legionella Risk Assessor to cover sites across the Midlands region. You would be joining a team of loyal Risk Assessors / Engineers with the opportunity to train to do more technical Water Treatment or Legionella Risk Assessor work.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Coventry, Leicester, Loughborough, Corby, Market Harborough, Royal Leamington Spa Wolverhampton, Stourbridge, Kidderminster, Worcester, Warwick, Walsall, West Bromwich, Birmingham, Stafford, Coalville, Lichfield, Tamworth.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Will hold the City and Guilds / WMSoc in Legionella Risk Assessments.
• Experience working in an engineering / risk assessor role for an established Water Company would be beneficial to the role.
• Will have excellent technical / chemical knowledge.
• Well versed in ACoP L8 / HSG guidelines.
• Will have excellent communication skills.
• IT Literate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertaking cooling tower and steam boiler cleans and disinfections.
• Servicing of CL02 Units.
• Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments.
• Routine water sampling and temperature monitoring.
• Undertaking TMV installations, servicing, and replacements.Inspecting, cleaning, and disinfecting of CWSTs.
• Dosing systems with required chemicals.
• Flushing of little used outlets.
• Organising own work schedule.
• Ensuring work is carried out in line with relevant ACoP L8 / HSG guidelines.
