Level of Experience: Trainee Water Treatment Engineer through to Lead Water Treatment Engineer

Profile: Our client is a leasing name within the water treatment / legionella industry, providing the full range of legionella services to a range of health care, retail, and government clients across the UK. They are now looking to take on a hardworking and experienced Water Treatment Engineer based in and around the Watford area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within the water treatment industry carrying out cleaning duties on cooing towers, dosing systems and routine sampling and temperature checks. Applications will be considered from: Aylesbury, Bedford, Bishop’s Stortford, Enfield, Harlow, Hemel Hempstead, Hertford, Hitchin, Luton, Milton Keynes, North London, St Albans, Stevenage, Chelmsford, Braintree, Basildon.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Extensive experience within the water treatment industry, ideally working within an engineering role.
• Well versed within relevant Health and Safety and ACOP L8 legislation.
• Good chemical and technical background and ideally hold a City and Guilds qualification.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using Microsoft office.

The Role:

• Carrying out analysis of cooling towers and steam boilers and dosing of water systems.
• Performing routine sampling, temperature checks and monitoring air and water systems.
• Undertaking refurbishments, cleaning and disinfections on cooling towers, water systems and tank cleans.
• Ensuring that all works are being carried out in line with relevant health and safety legislation.
• Carrying out dosing of closed systems.
• Undertaking maintenance of TMVs and showerhead.
• Collecting information from site to provide clients with detailed reports.
• Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients.
