Job Title Water Technician

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Water Technician to join the team.

The successful candidate is responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, and compliance of water systems within the building(s). This includes ensuring water safety, preventing Legionella, and supporting the overall facilities management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine water temperature checks, flushing, and sampling.
  • Maintain and update logbooks and compliance records.
  • Carry out Legionella risk assessments and assist with remedial actions.
  • Inspect and maintain hot and cold water systems, including tanks, calorifiers, and pipework.
  • Support closed system testing (e.g., heating and chilled water loops).
  • Liaise with external contractors and ensure compliance with water hygiene regulations.
  • Respond to water-related maintenance requests and faults.
  • Assist with asset management and preventive maintenance schedules.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Legionella control and water hygiene regulations (e.g., ACoP L8).
  • Experience with building services or facilities maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds in Legionella Awareness or Water Treatment).
