Our client is a well-established and successful water treatment/hygiene company, and they are currently looking to recruit an experienced and competent Water Hygiene Engineer/Remedial Plumber to work on a variety of contracts in the Manchester region. The ideal applicant will come from a strong water hygiene background with experience undertaking a variety of duties including TMV servicing, water sampling and temperature monitoring. The ideal applicant will also be a qualified plumber. Applications from Wigan, Oldham, Stockport, and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Extensive experience in carrying out water hygiene duties in line with ACOP L8 guidelines.
  • Will ideally hold Plumbing qualifications NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds equivalent.
  • Experience in delivering remedial plumbing duties to a varied site base.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Proficient IT skills including competency using MS Office.
Postholder Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems, cooling towers, etc.
  • Carrying out analysis on closed systems and chemical dosing.
  • Repair, replace and servicing of TMV’s, Showerheads, etc.
  • Undertake temperature monitoring, conduct routine sampling and analysis of water systems.
  • Comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
  • Maintain and install dosing systems, etc.
  • Carry out any remedial legionella/plumbing work.
  • Build and maintain a professional working relationship with clients.
