Job Role – Water Hygiene Engineer / Operative
Location: Derby, Derbyshire
Salary: £24,000 – £34,000 DOE + Benefits and Company Vehicle

We are currently working closely with a specialist legionella compliance company, with over two decades of experience within the industry. Our client is looking for an experienced water hygiene engineer to cover contracts across the Midlands / Yorkshire area. You will come from a strong water hygiene background, having previously worked as an operative / engineer or environmental service technician, and be well‑rehearsed in working to ACOP L8 and HSG guidelines.

Candidates will have good access to the M1 and Yorkshire / Midlands area. Areas considered include: Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham, Chesterfield, Worksop, Derby, Nottingham, Mansfield, Loughborough, Leicester and the surrounding areas.

Experience

• Experience carrying out L8 compliance duties to ACoP L8 guidelines.
• Good working knowledge of domestic water systems.
• Experience undertaking closed system testing is desirable.
• Able to work on your own or as part of a team.

Outline of Duties

• Temperature monitoring.
• Water sampling.
• Inspections of cold and heated water storage tanks.
• Showerhead descales.
• Calorifiers flushing.
• Cleans & Disinfections on storage tanks.
• Cooling tower cleans and disinfections.
• TMV inspection, testing and servicing.
• CWST inspections.
• Basic remedial and installation works on hot and cold water systems.
• Updating site logbooks.
