Water Babies has been inspiring a lifelong love of water for over 20 years
Since 2002, Water Babies has taught over half a million children the life skill of learning how to swim, helping little ones to build their water confidence both in and of the pool.

It’s now grown into the world’s largest baby swim school, today teaching more than 80,000 babies every year through a network of family businesses across the globe.

Water Babies in Suffolk and North East Essex are looking for new Water Babies Teachers.

Successful applicants would be fully responsible for teaching classes of children from birth up to 6 years old (with an accompanying parent/carer per child in the water with them).

We’re looking for extraordinary people to become part of the Water Babies family and inspire our next generation of swimmers. You don’t need to have any previous experience either, training will be provided at every turn.

We know that to see the face of a child that has just managed to accomplish something for the first time is worth its weight in gold. Being a Water Babies teacher is a demanding job, but you get so much back from it in return.

Primarily we are looking for suitable applicants who would be able to commit to a regular weekend day each week, although additional weekday hours may also be available in the future.

Candidates would need to complete our training programme, which would give them nationally recognised qualifications. They would also need to be able to transport swimming kit to our venues, so use of a car is also preferable.

This job would be particularly suited to anyone studying child development/child care, although applications from all interested parties would be considered.

Entry requirements

No specific entry requirements as full training will be given.

This includes shadowed lessons, online modules, residential training (6 days residential course, usually in Devon), assessed teaching sessions, and obtaining lifeguarding and safeguarding qualifications.

All qualifications are fully funded by Water Babies; however, please note that training time is unpaid.

Employment will only commence once the training programme is successfully completed and DBS checks are cleared.
