Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Shift Timings (06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 & 22:00-06:00) (4 on/2 off)

Location: Manchester Airport, Manchester, Greater Manchester, England, M90 1QX

We are looking for a Waste Operative to join the Waste and Cleaning team to undertake the collection, movement, sorting, processing and dispatch of waste and other materials including the compaction of waste and cardboard. You should be capable of working and staying compliant with Health and Safety regulations, monitoring the performance of equipment, and providing support to the On‑Site Waste Coordinator to complete site objectives while following PPE guidance.

Requirements: Hold a current Counter Balance FLT license, be prepared to work outside including in extreme weather conditions, have a good level of English communication, be detail‑conscious with excellent time‑management skills to meet tight deadlines, and pass a DBS Check plus a drugs/alcohol screening test prior to starting.

Ideal candidate qualifications: Experience in Health & Safety training, understanding of waste management and environmental legislation, previous use of static balers and compactors, and capability to carry out strenuous tasks.
