Waste Collection Assistant (2 posts)

We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual to join the Waste & Recycling Team as a Waste Collection Assistant.

Responsibilities

As a Waste Collection Assistant of a small crew, you will have good communication and customer service skills to enable you to engage with colleagues and members of the public in a polite and professional manner.

You must be a team player, quick learner and able to carry out a range of duties including:

  • Use of the vehicles in cab devices
  • Moving, handling and loading of refuse
  • Recycling
  • Garden waste
  • Food waste

You will be expected to work with minimum supervision.

The work involves operating machinery and heavy manual labour; therefore, you must be physically fit and mobile.

Qualifications

Physical fitness and mobility, team player, quick learner, good communication and customer service skills.
