A leading waste management company is seeking a Waste Champion in Liverpool to oversee waste streams and maximize sales of imperfect products. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to work autonomously. The ideal candidate will be organised and detail-oriented, contributing to both internal and external communication, monitoring performance metrics, and providing insightful reports. Salary is £29,500.
Waste Champion - Food Manufacturing. This role is split between two sites: Aintree (1 Long Lane, Aintree, Walton, Liverpool, L9 7BQ) and Manchester (Crossley Road, Stockport, Manchester, M19 2SD). The candidate must be able to travel to both sites.

Site Waste Champion is responsible for the communication and execution of the Imperfect Product sales agenda and associated site waste streams, reporting to the central functional lead. The candidate will typically be responsible for the organisation and maximum collection opportunities in each product category of imperfect product. They will collaborate effectively and escalate potential risks to key stakeholders. Deliver documented reports on waste stream progress on a weekly basis to key stakeholders. The role will cover multiple waste streams across the site including card, plastic, animal feed, R1 Reduce, R2 Reuse, R3 Recycle. This list is not exhaustive.
