Job description

Warehouse Supervisor job located in Upton, Poole, Dorset. Permanent position with a salary of up to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. Hours are 37.5 hours per week: Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4.00pm and Friday 7.30am – 1pm.

Overview

We have a new opening for a specialist engineering company for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team based in Upton, Poole. You will report to the Operations Manager and directly supervise the warehouse operations. Leading a team of three, you will ensure all orders are sent out accurately and efficiently, manage the receipt of stock into the business and store it correctly, and supply all materials required for the manufacturing facilities accurately as required.

Key duties
  • Support all warehouse and export procedures, from coordinating deliveries to managing export documentation.
  • Assign daily tasks to the warehouse team (three people) to assure effective handling and movement of stock for Customer Orders.
  • Undertake goods in, ensuring stock is stored away correctly and parts are picked and supplied to the shopfloor on time to meet production demand.
  • Update stock levels using an MRP system.
  • Coordinate and undertake the preparation of bills, invoices and other dispatch documentation.
  • Undertake goods outwards to ensure goods are packed correctly to enable shipment.
  • Ensure export documentation is completed.
  • Undertake stock checks and stock takes.
Qualifications
  • Previous warehousing experience is essential with good knowledge of goods in and out.
  • Knowledge of export paperwork, processes and documentation is advantageous.
  • Supervisory, management experience is essential.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Forklift licence is desirable (Bendi, aisle master, flexi).
