Warehouse Shift Manager. Ready to step into a role where you can shape the future of a rapidly growing logistics operation? Looking for a shift pattern that balances responsibility with genuine work-life balance? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced warehouse and distribution site that is expanding to support a major new contract. As Warehouse Shift Manager, you'll be responsible for leading your team to deliver outstanding operational performance across the warehouse. You'll take charge of daily shift operations, ensuring service levels are achieved, your people are motivated, and improvements are made to keep the site moving forward.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and motivate a warehouse team during your shift
  • Plan and allocate resource effectively to meet daily throughput and performance targets
  • Ensure operational processes are followed to achieve accurate, timely, and efficient order fulfilment
  • Drive compliance with health and safety, site security, and company standards at all times
  • Support the implementation of a brand-new contract, embedding new processes and ways of working
  • Monitor KPIs and performance data, taking action to improve efficiency and service levels
  • Work closely with other Shift Managers and site leadership to deliver a consistent, joined-up operation
  • Lead by example to develop a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance
Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in a Warehouse Shift Manager role within logistics, distribution, or e-commerce
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and drive a team
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse operations, processes, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to analyse operational data and make decisions to improve performance
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan resources effectively
  • Resilient and adaptable, comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Pay and Benefits
  • Salary: £41,600 per annum
  • Permanent day shift (08:00-20:00)
  • Continental pattern:
  • Week 1: Work 2 shifts, 5 days off
  • Week 2: Work 5 shifts, 2 days off
  • No more than 3 consecutive shifts
  • Minimum of 2 days off together
  • Work 1 weekend in 2
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Death in Service - 4 x annual salary

  • Length of service awards (5, 10, 15 years)
