A logistics company based in Telford is seeking a Warehouse Shift Coordinator. This permanent role involves leading a team of 4-8 operatives, ensuring safety, stock control, and team development in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have experience in FMCG and strong communication skills. A valid counterbalance and reach FLT licence is required. The offered salary ranges from £28k to £30k per annum after probation.

Warehouse Shift Coordinator

Permanent Position

Annual salary: 28k up to 30k after probation period

Continental days 3on/3off 8am - 8pm

Telford

As the Warehouse Shift Coordinator you will ensure organisation of staffing schedules, leading a team of 4-8 Warehouse Operatives to ensure that day to day activities meet required targets on time and in full.

This will be a working role leading by example. Reporting directly to the Deputy Warehouse Manager.

Main job duties:
  1. Health & Safety inc Housekeeping
    • Maintain safe working practices and environment.
    • Assisting with Investigation reports
    • Understand warehouse compliance regulations
    • Communication relating to H&S to immediate team
  2. Stock control, material flow and fleet management
    • Monitor and communicate reports to immediate team
    • Safe, accurate and effective storage of goods
    • Oversee team performance and fleet utilisation
    • Daily Control of goods in/out process
  3. Team organisation and development
    • Identify and report training requirements
    • Ensure communication flow throughout the team
    • Out of hours' co-ordination of the team
    • Identify and report improvement opportunities
    • Deputise for the DWM when required
Required skills, knowledge and experience:
  • Demonstrable experience in a medium to large fast moving consumer goods manufacturing company
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Experience of working to achieve multiple deadlines
  • IOSH qualification (desirable)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong ability to build and maintain effective working relationships within the team and at all levels internally and externally
  • Experience of using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Current, valid counterbalance and reach FLT licence
  • Knowledge and understanding of KPI tracking and reporting
