Job description
Warehouse Operator

Based in Ware, Hertfordshire. Days and Nights rotational.

From £16.76 to £21.36 (depending on the shift).

Our respected client, a global pharmaceutical company manufacturing a diverse range of products including medically critical sterile products, equipment and medicines that help to save the lives of millions of people worldwide. We are looking for candidates to join our team of exceptional individuals doing work that truly matters to the health of people worldwide.

The successful candidate will support the warehouse department and contribute to meeting objectives. This role will involve dispatching materials from the site for onward supply to customers, picking finished pack from allocated locations to customer order, checking products, assembling, packing and labelling orders, material loading, operation of machinery meeting the compliance of quality standards.

Shifts are available: Rotational 12 hours moving between days & nights across 7 days.

Responsibilities
  • To operate warehouse mechanical handling equipment (MHE) such as Highracker, counterbalance and ride-on pedestrian trucks as appropriate.
  • To perform all equipment checks to ensure their safe operation at all times.
  • To ensure the work area is audit ready and compliant at all times with our client's H&S policies and procedures.
  • Follow all SOPs and act at all times safely and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • Completion of both electronic and paperwork documentation with accuracy and in a timely manner.
  • To utilize SAP systems for stock control.
  • To carry out strict cleaning activities to ensure no cross contamination.
  • Stay up-to-date with all training and continual learning requirements.
Qualifications
  • Forklift Licence required and a minimum of 3 years of Forklift experience preferred.
  • Maths and English at GCSE level or above (or equivalent).
  • IT literate - Ability to use in house computer systems competently (full training is provided).
  • Able to use own initiative - our client readily welcomes and encourages staff to provide suggestions on ways their role can be improved.
  • Attention to detail and be able to follow strict and compliant ways of working.

All roles are recruited on a temporary basis with the maximum tenure at 2 years.
