Salary up to £25,560 depending on experience

Location Woodchester

Renishaw are seeking to recruit a Warehouse Operator to support the warehousing activities at the Woodchester site. The role is to ensure our goods are received, stored, and distributed effectively to meet business requirements.

Working hours 4 weeks of your chosen variable working pattern (eg Mon -Thu 7am -3:30pm and Fri 7am-12pm). Then 4 weeks of Mon - Thurs 7am-3pm and Fri 7:30am-3pm

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of warehouse operations to support the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods – typically in a specific area of the department.
• Comply with company Health & Safety requirements, Quality standards, and applicable local operating procedures.
• Perform a wide range of system transactions to support the warehouse operations.
• Have strong communication skills (written and verbal) as the role involves interaction with both departmental staff and others across the business.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude and be adaptable to respond to the evolving needs of the department/business.

Key Requirements

• A good level of literacy and attention to detail is required in the role to deal with various warehouse and order related information.
• The ideal candidate should be capable of working efficiently in an environment that may occasionally be physically demanding.
• Good level of computer literacy – experience of using Microsoft Office software (eg: Outlook).
• Good awareness and attitude to health & safety.

Desirable Requirements

• Current Fork Lift truck licence is preferable, although training will be provided.
• Previous experience of working in a warehouse or stores environment.
• Previous experience of using company stock control/ERP systems.

Person Specification

The successful applicant will be required to carry out general warehouse duties in a busy environment, handling domestic and international goods. The applicant will be a self-motivated ‘team player’ and have a methodical approach to problem solving with the ability to plan ahead, prioritise, and co-ordinate with colleagues.
