Job summary

A leading logistics company in Hebburn is seeking a Warehouse Operative to work the twilight shift from 3pm to 12am. Responsibilities include receiving goods, picking stock, and using Mechanical Handling Equipment. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience and a RTITB Reach FLT Licence preferred. This position offers a competitive salary of £30,006.89 per annum along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Desirable to have RTITB Reach FLT Licence.
  • Experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable.
  • Clamp Truck and/or PPT experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Receive goods into the warehouse and complete relevant documentation.
  • Pick items of stock using available picking methodology.
  • Complete operational duties ensuring performance targets are met.
  • Operate Mechanical Handling Equipment including Reach Truck and PPT.
  • Resolve queries or problems with documentation as they arise.

Overview

Job Title: Warehouse Operative with FLT Experience - TWILIGHT SHIFT 3pm - 12.00AM

Location: Hebburn (NE31 1SP)

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £30,006.89 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday (but may be required to work any 5 from 7 during busy periods)

Average hours: 41.25 hours per week on an annualised hours contract

Shift: 3pm – 12.00am

Note: You will be required to undertake some heavy manual work as part of this role.

What you will do
  • Receive goods into the warehouse following necessary procedures, completing relevant documentation to the required standards, and resolving queries and problems, liaising with the necessary departments where appropriate
  • Pick items of stock from the pallet racking within the warehouse using the available picking methodology, to agreed productivity targets
  • Complete operational duties within the role ensuring that wherever possible performance targets are met or exceeded
  • Use all types of Mechanical Handling Equipment including the operation of Reach Truck, PPT and conduct all appropriate checks
  • Complete all relevant documentation to the required standards, and resolve queries/problems with documentation as they arise, escalating with the necessary departments as appropriate
