Responsibilities include packing antiques and artworks for deliveries, preparing furniture for shipments, and managing returns effectively. Candidates should have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. Previous experience in the auction industry is a bonus. Join a company on a mission to make valued objects accessible for everyone.
Auctionet is a marketplace where auction houses from Sweden, Great Britain, Finland, Spain, Germany, and Denmark sell furniture, art, design objects, collectibles, and much more. We are now looking for a Warehouse Operative who wants to be part of our team and contribute to the company’s ambitions for growth in the UK.
In order to flourish at our Packcentral in Westbury, we are searching for an individual with a good attitude towards colleagues and customers. The chosen candidate should be able to work efficiently and effectively within the Packcentral team in order to avoid transportation delays and ensure that our customers receive the best possible service.
This role requires some heavy lifting and you will often be working in tandem with other members of the team. Your responsibilities will include:
Previous experience in the auction industry and an interest in art and antiques is advantageous, but not a requirement.
This role is based in Westbury, Wiltshire.
You will be joining a small, close knit team of 5 people in the warehouse of all different ages, experiences and specialities. In addition to this, you will also be working closely with our drivers collecting the items, our team in the UK head office and our colleagues over in Sweden.
Auctionet has around 170 employees and is the parent company of a wider group with approximately 400 colleagues across multiple countries. Our main office is in central Stockholm, with logistics centers in Malmö, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Westbury, and Cologne.
You’re someone who’s keen to play an important part of a small team, always looking to improve even by small margins and always asking questions!
To succeed in this role, we think you should have:
Bonus and not mandatory:
We have a straightforward process without unpleasant surprises.
We'll start of with a short phone interview and greet just to get a feeling if we could be right for each other or not.
We then have a few meetings where we talk about you, the role and Auctionet - and you get the chance to talk to the people you will work closely with. And in the end, we hope it feels like the perfect fit for both of us!
We will be reviewing applications continuously, but please submit your application no later than 23rd of December. Please be aware there may be some additional delays in response times due to the holiday period.
Auctionet was founded in 2011 by a team of people with unique experience of online auctions. Read more about Auctionet here.
In 2021 Auctionet acquired the auction house Stockholms Auktionsverk, and we are now by far the largest auction marketplace in the Nordics, and one of the larger auction marketplaces in the world. With this acquisition, Auctionet owns and operates both the oldest auction house in the world (1674) and the second oldest (1681), which means we have been working with sustainability for 350(!) years.
Join us in our vision to make valued objects accessible for everyone, from everywhere!
