Overview

Warehouse Operative / Counterbalance Forklift Driver – Leamington Spa. Temporary ongoing. Flexibility to work both Days and rotating shifts. Days pay rate: £14.43 per hour. Shifts pay rate: £15.89 per hour. Our client is a leading international manufacturing company based in Leamington Spa, seeking a Warehouse Operative / Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join their team on a temporary ongoing basis.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake receipt and checking of incoming stock in line with company goods in processes, ensuring all are labelled appropriately and the product is correctly located.
  • Pick customer orders as per operating processes, undertake all necessary controls, and ensure items are available for dispatch.
  • Dispatch orders in line with correct processes, ensuring accurate picking and dispatch.
  • Assist with stock takes and any regular spot stock takes as required.
  • Undertake forklift truck duties as required, ensuring daily safety checks are conducted thoroughly and warehouse guidelines observed.
  • Undertake physical tasks such as manually unloading containers from overseas suppliers.
  • Ensure all stock is stored, handled, and transported securely and health and safety guidelines are followed.
  • Provide a professional, courteous, and efficient service to all delivery drivers and customers.
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness in the workplace, complying with company and legislative standards.
  • Follow all company safety and quality processes and relevant legislation; raise concerns and report incidents or suggestions to the line manager.
  • Support and assist newly appointed or less experienced colleagues by providing training and guidance as appropriate.
  • Perform any other duties that may fit into the remit of this role as and when required.
Ideal candidate
  • Be qualified to competently operate Counterbalance forklift truck.
  • Hold a valid external Counterbalance licence.
  • Possess a good standard of numeracy and literacy.
  • Have a good understanding of, and commitment to, safe working practices.
  • Have good communication skills and a customer focus.
  • Have previous warehouse experience.
  • Possess a good level of IT competence.
Hours
  • Days: Monday - Thursday and Friday (specific times are indicated in the original posting as #removed# with a 39 hours 30 minutes break).
  • Rotating fortnightly shifts: #removed# Monday to Thursday and #removed# on Friday (20 minutes break).
  • 14.00 - 22.00 Monday to Thursday and #removed# on Friday (20 minutes break).
