Overview

Apply today to work as a Warehouse Operative for our client, a global food manufacturer. The Spalding site specialises in making deli sandwich wraps, a variety of ready-to-salad products, sauces and dips, and soups. Staffline is recruiting Warehouse Operatives in Spalding.

The rate of pay is:

• Rotating shifts are £14.10 per hour
• Night shifts £16.22 per hour

This full-time role offers rotating shifts, working 5 days out of 7 and fixed night shifts. The hours of work are:

• First week: 6am to 2pm
• Second week: 2pm to 10pm
• Fixed night: 10pm to 6am

Your Time at Work

As a Warehouse Operative at Bakkavor Spalding, you will work against an individual target to pick and pack a number of items on each shift. You will be fully trained in how to use any software systems the site uses, along with any mechanical aids required to move stock around the warehouse. The environment is chilled. Mechanical aids are on offer to support the movement of items around the warehouse; however, you will need to be able to pick items at pace, lift product cases of up to 20kg and be physically able to pick the number of desired items against a target set.

Our ideal Warehouse Operative must be able to speak, read, write and understand English at ESOL Level 3. Counting in numbers and multiplying numbers is essential.
