Qualifications

  • Experience in goods receipt, warehouse, or logistics roles.
  • Proficiency in data input and basic IT systems.
  • Qualified to drive a range of MHE including counterbalance and reach.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and book in all inbound goods and vehicles.
  • Administer booking-in control documents efficiently.
  • Physically check all inbound deliveries against receipt documents.
  • Input accurate data into business systems for all received stock.
  • Supervise and support inventory put-away using various forklift types.
  • Train and mentor team members as required.
  • Allocate daily tasks and monitor team activities.
  • Follow company policies, good practice, and Health & Safety protocols.
  • Deputise for the Goods Receipt Team Leader when needed.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the working area.
  • Assist with customer quality complaint documentation.

Are you experienced in managing goods‑in processes and ready to step into a key logistics role? Join our team in Sheffield as a warehouse operative, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining accurate stock intake, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and supporting the efficiency of our warehouse operations.

Main Purpose of the Role

To take day‑to‑day responsibility for the receipt and put‑away of all inbound materials, ensuring accuracy, safety, and adherence to both company policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and book in all inbound goods and vehicles
  • Administer booking-in control documents efficiently
  • Physically check all inbound deliveries against receipt documents
  • Input accurate data into business systems for all received stock
