Warehouse & Product Decontamination Operatives

Location: Exeter, Devon

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 or Tuesday to Saturday, 09:00–18:00

gap personnel are recruiting for Warehouse Operatives and Product Decontamination Operatives on behalf of a well‑established and growing organisation in Exeter. These roles offer a great opportunity to join a supportive team within an essential healthcare service. Temporary positions with potential to become permanent.

Duties
  • Coordinate equipment orders for delivery, installation, and collection.
  • Pick, check and prepare stock accurately.
  • Identify and report any order or stock discrepancies.
  • Support technicians with selecting and recording stock.
  • Handle equipment used by individuals with different needs and vulnerabilities.
  • Receive and inspect returned medical equipment.
  • Clean and disinfect items such as beds, mattresses, and mobility aids to infection control standards.
  • Use approved cleaning products and follow safety procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant.
  • Report faults or damage to the relevant team.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in a busy warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • IT literate and able to learn new systems.
  • Stock control experience (advantageous but not essential)
  • Previous professional cleaning experience (healthcare or industrial preferred).
  • Understanding of infection control and hygiene standards (training provided).
  • Reliable, physically fit, and able to handle heavy items safely.
  • Good attention to detail and team-focused attitude.
