Responsibilities

  • Manually loading and unloading caged goods from lorries.
  • Loading and unloading of palletised goods using an articulated forklift.
  • Using the warehouse system & scanner to manage goods.
  • Replenishing and consolidating stock when required.
  • Assisting with wrapping and labelling of pallets.
  • General housekeeping of the warehousing area.
  • Completing relevant paperwork in line with warehouse processes.

Warehouse Operative

Location: Bristol

Shift: 4on 4off

Responsibilities
  • Manually loading and unloading caged goods from lorries.
  • This may involve occasional loading and unloading of palletised goods using an articulated forklift.
  • Using the warehouse system & scanner to receive, locate goods into the racking, pick & dispatch whilst handling all caged goods with care and attention, working in a temperature chilled environment.
  • Replenishing and consolidation of stock when required and assembling cages for orders to be safely stacked in racking.
  • Assisting when required within the warehouse to include wrapping and labelling of pallets.
  • General housekeeping and upkeep of the warehousing area and equipment.
  • Completing any relevant paperwork in line with the warehouse processes to include reporting any defects.
Required Experience
  • Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment.
  • Experience with computerised warehouse management systems.
  • Good communication and team working skills.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
